The triceps brachii.
The posterior deltoid is one extensor of the upper arm.
The latissimus dorsi is the muscle responsible for moving the arm posterior or backwards.
The Triceps extend (Stretch out) as the biceps contract.
The soleus muscle inserts into the posterior calcaneus via the Achilles tendon.
The pectoralis major muscle is anterior to the subscapularis muscles, as it lies in front of the shoulder joint and rib cage. The subscapularis muscles are located on the posterior aspect of the shoulder blade and assist in internal rotation of the arm.
Stylohyoid Muscle
tibialis posteriorTibialis anterior and posterior tibialis posterior
The key differences between the anterior and posterior arm are their location and the muscles they contain. The anterior arm is located on the front side of the arm and contains muscles like the biceps brachii, while the posterior arm is located on the back side and contains muscles like the triceps brachii.
The brain stem controls muscle movements. Even involuntary movements are controlled by the tiny brain stem. Without the use of your brain stem, you will not "remember" how to do the simplest task.
The deltoid muscle, specifically the anterior portion of the deltoid, is primarily responsible for raising the arm at the shoulder joint. This muscle is located on the outer part of the shoulder and is involved in various arm movements, including shoulder abduction.
The deltoid muscle helps to prevent the dislocation of the long bone in the upper arm. The blood supply to the deltoid is through the posterior circumflex humeral artery.
