Retromolar Pad
The maxillary bone is the upper jaw whereas the mandible is the lower jaw. So the maxillary molar must refer to the molar on the upper jaw and the mandibular molar is the molar on the lower jaw.
In the human dentition, each quadrant of the maxillary and mandibular arches contains three molars. Therefore, there are a total of 12 molars in the entire mouth, with 6 in the maxillary arch (3 per quadrant) and 6 in the mandibular arch (3 per quadrant).
children have deciduous molars. they have 8 deciduous molars totally.(two molars per quadrant) maxillary right side-2 maxillary left side-2 mandibular right side-2 mandibular left side-2
Mandibular teeth are the set of teeth located in the lower jaw, known as the mandible. They are used for biting and chewing food and are essential for proper digestion. Mandibular teeth include incisors, canines, premolars, and molars.

If you are an adult and still have your wisdom teeth, the you have 12 molars. If your wisdom teeth have been removed, you have 8 molars, unless on or more of them have been removed in the corse of your life.
