Spongy (penile) urethra
The spongy (penile) urethra
the corpus cavernosa
The narrowest part of the male urethra is the external urethral meatus, which is the opening at the tip of the penis where urine and semen exit the body. It is the most constricted part of the urethra and can be prone to blockages or infections.
It comes out a certain part of the penis called the urethra.
Semen is ejaculated from the urethra, which is the tube that runs through the penis. It carries both urine and semen, but they are not expelled at the same time. The muscles in the urethra help control which substance is being released.
The male urethra is divided into threesegments. The prostatic urethra passes through the prostate gland, the urogenital diaphragm and the bulb of the urethra. The membranous urethra has the shortest length and is found between the prostatic urethra and the spongy urethra. It extends downward between the apex of the prostate and the bulb of the urethra. The spongy urethra is the longest part of the male urethra and it passes through the length of the penis, more specifically through the corpus spongiosum penis (a mass of spongy tissue surrounding the male urethra within the penis), and the glans.
Penis size and urethra size are completely unrelated, so it is definitely possible to have a large penis with a narrow urethra.
In canines, the bone that the urethra passes through in the penis is called the os penis, or baculum. It is a bone found in the penis of many placental mammals, including dogs, that aids in copulation and maintaining an erection.
A man's urethra extends the length of the penis. Women do not have a penis.
You urinate out of your urethra. In males, the urethra is a part of the penis, while for females, it is located in the vulva area.
