I propose we use the (new?) word "congregophobia".

The Latin root "congrego" means "to gather together, assemble, convene."

(Source: http://www.archives.nd.edu/cgi-bin/lookit.pl?latin=congre)

It appears to be related to the word "congregate", the etymology of which is "Middle English, from Latin congregatus, past participle of congregare, from com- + greg-, grex flock)".

(Source: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/congregate)

The definition of "phobia" is "an exaggerated usually inexplicable and illogical fear of a particular object, class of objects, or situation".

(Source: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/phobia)

So the definition of "congregophobia" would be "an exaggerated usually inexplicable and illogical fear of gathering together, assembling, or convening."
