it is thempharynx
The windpipe branches into two bronchi to direct air to and from both lungs (the left and right). The point where the windpipe branches is called the carina.
The two branches of the trachea (windpipe) are the left bronchus and the right bronchus. The bronchi lead into each lung, and are a part of the respiratory system.
bronchi
The windpipe filters the air we breathe and branches into the bronchi.
The two branches of the windpipe, or trachea, are called the right and left main bronchus. These bronchi extend from the trachea into the lungs, allowing air to enter each lung respectively. The right bronchus is generally wider and more vertically oriented than the left bronchus, which affects the distribution of inhaled air.
This lifguarding course is so hard!! September 29 / 08This is not an answer and is actually completely ridiculous. The correct answer is the bronchial tubes.
Bronchi (left and right Bronchus), which then branch into the bronchioles.
Windpipe is one word.
The bronchi are the two branches of the windpipe that lead into the lungs. If they are blocked by tissue swelling, cancerous tumors, or foreign objects, a lung abscess may form from infection trapped behind the blockage.
The windpipe, or trachea, is located centrally in the neck, just in front of the esophagus. It runs down the midline, so it doesn't occupy one side of the throat specifically; instead, it is positioned between the two sides. It leads from the larynx (voice box) down into the chest, where it branches into the bronchi that enter the lungs.
The trachea is lined by cartilage and divided into two branches. These two branches are called the bronchi. The left bronchus enters the left lung and the right bronchus enters the right lung. Each bronchus is further divided into around 25 smaller branches. These smaller divisions of bronchi are known as the bronchioles. The bronchioles carry air into thealveoli.
The windpipe is referred to as the trachea, but it eventually splits into two bronchi (one to each lung) then into many bronchioles.
