The inferior vena cava is the largest vein, and connects to the right atrium of the heart. The other large vein is the superior vena cava, which receives blood from the upper half of the body.
The vessel that brings blood to the heart from the trunk and pelvic region is the inferior vena cava. It is one of the main blood vessels in the body, responsible for carrying deoxygenated blood from the lower half of the body to the right atrium of the heart.
There are two, the Superior Vena Cava that brings blood from the head, and the Inferior Vena Cava that brings blood from the lower body.

Inferior vena cava
Arteries have a pulse due to the rhythmic contraction of the heart, which creates a pressure wave that can be felt as the pulse in arteries. Veins do not have a pulse as they carry blood back to the heart at a lower pressure.
Inferior Vena Cava, collects blood from the lower extremities and runs up along side the abdominal aorta and into the heart.

The junction of the Superior and Inferior Vena Cavae. The Superior Vena Cava brings blood from the upper body, and the Inferior Vena Cava brings blood from the lower body. They meet at a junction, and enter the heart.
