Personally I would not understand why they would use doxy of all things to treat swollen lymph nodes of the neck usually that suggests a viral and is something that has to fight itself out however if there is an infection the best treatment for the lymph nodes is usually a myacin (i.e. Clindomyacin, Erythromyacin, Azithromyacin(Zithromax), or Even if you can tolerate them Ampicillin, Penicillin, Amoxicillin these all are much more effective then doxycycline.
