The liver and pancreas are two important organs that lie outside the digestive tube but play crucial roles in the digestive process. The liver produces bile, which helps emulsify fats for better digestion and absorption. The pancreas secretes digestive enzymes into the small intestine to break down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
The windpipe (trachea) is the odd one, as it isn't part of the digestive system. The rest of the organs are digestive organs.

Not all accessory organs of the digestive system send secretions directly to the small intestine. The pancreas, liver, and gallbladder do contribute secretions: the pancreas releases digestive enzymes, the liver produces bile (stored in the gallbladder), and both are delivered to the small intestine. However, other accessory organs, such as the salivary glands, primarily contribute to digestion in the mouth rather than directly to the small intestine.
