This allows the brain to coordinate responses and maintain homeostasis. The spinal cord also plays a crucial role in relaying information between the body and the brain.
The nervous system takes in sensory information from the peripheral nervous system. This information is then directed to the central nervous system which then responds with a motor reaction that travels back to the peripheral nervous system.
Motor Neurons and the chemical and electrical interactions between them carry information from the central nervous system to tissues.
