If you are a person with training, experience and competence in suicide intervention, then you could use this to arrange for the friend to make contact - directly or on a phone back basis - with local crisis mental health resources. You may not directly be able to do more than that in the immediate or short term given distance etc. Suicidal thoughts only become abnormal when they lead on to suicide planning and action.
Suicide threats could indicate that a plan is being formulated although they may and often do represent a cry for help. By listening empathically to the friend you may be able to ascertain this. By listening and building trust you may be able to encourage the friend to help themselves to address the issue that underpins their suicidal behaviour by contacting local support services directly.
However, responsibility for your friend's wellbeing rests with that friend and not with you: so remember this and respect your friend's autonomy.
No.
she committed suicide because of her husbands ongoing affair with later to be and close friend Audrey
I believe you shouldn't commit suicide from bullying/cyber-bullying, people who attempt suicide, but don't commit it often are glad they didn't complete suicide, it only gets better from there. Plus people will be sad if a person commits suicide because they will lose a friend or a family member or whatever relationship they have going on.
She did not commit suicide but she did TRY to kill herself.
Yes.
Yes. I just found out that a very very close friend just did using antifreeze.
It's about a friend of Matt's that had commit suicide 10 years before the song was written
Take it as an opportunity to go get help. If you don't agree, police can take you to the hospital against your will and the hospital can keep you at least 3 days. So you might as well go willingly, and figure out why you are threatening to commit suicide. P.S. Tell your friend Thank you.
A friend of his, Max Schur, helped him commit suicide by injecting him with morphine.
The main reason that people commit suicide is because they are depressed. If a person is concerned with depression, they should talk with a friend or family member.
DEPRESSION my non-friend. Im 16 and I too am probly gonna commit suicide soon since my life sucks, i have no friends, im always that 1 kid who justs sits there embarresed when it comes to groups, and i picked on every day. So im depressed and gonna commit suicide real soon. I cant drop out of school so I have NO other choice than suicide. HELP ME GOD!!!!
People who commit suicide almost always suffer from major depression. They do not hate themselves; their lives are totally miserable, and they seek relief from the misery. Depression is treatable. If you know someone who is contemplating suicide, speak to someone in authority about it immediately. You are not "ratting out" your friend. You are more likely saving his or her life.
