First and very important, do NOT be depressed with your damaged hair. I personally got my hair damaged too on my last rebond but there are quite solutions. There are even home remedies possible! Deep condition your hair often as possible and these are better solutions because it has less chemicals which you should avoid.

Use virgin coconut oil, apply and leave it all night. You can also try this along with coconut (fresh) milk. If you want, you can also apply vitamins for hair and leave it until morning. As an alternative for vitamins, you can just use small amount of conditionaire (with treatment or not would be fine). Let it stay on our hair and do deep conditioning as you sleep. Cover it with thin cloth or place a cloth above your pillow so it your pillow sheets won't get sticky.

On morning, apply mayonnaise and leave it for at least 20 minutes. (Mayo treatment can be done at least twice a week or as often as you want.) Rinse your hair well with warm water and use only light shampoo (baby shampoo would do). After rinsing, ALWAYS apply conditionaire. Here's a technique. After applying conditionaire, cover your hair with shower cap and blowdry your hair so it will absorb the conditionaire more deeply. Apply treatment (can be brought on stores near you) the same way and blow dry it too, treatment can be done at least twice or once a week. Though the blowdrying part is just a technique, it is just to help deepens the effect of the conditionaire and/or treatment. If you want to avoid heat on your hair, you may skip this step and just let the conditionaire/treatment be on your hair for 5-10minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

When drying your hair, avoid using heat. Let it dry naturally. If you want to curl your hair, avoid using hot rollers or flat irons. Use alternatives such as plastic rollers. Apply heat protect whenever you are going out on a sunny day.

Make it a habit! Good luck!

Is smoothing or re bonding is a same thing?

Smoothing and rebonding are not the same thing. Smoothing treatments are used to reduce frizz and enhance shine, while rebonding is a chemical process that permanently straightens the hair by breaking and restructuring the bonds. Smoothing treatments are temporary and do not alter the hair's natural texture permanently like rebonding does.
