BRAT- Bananas, Rice, Apples, and Toast are all very bland foods that help to slow down your intestines after being sick (because diarrhea seems to linger much longer than the vomit).Saltine crackers and 7-up can help, and if you would like to substitute the 7-up with something else, Gatorade can really help, too. Do not eat or drink dairy products immediately after a bug (other than yogurt- the cultures help improve the condition of your stomach). Staying away from fruits beginning with P is also a good rule of thumb. After passing a solid stool, gradually reintroduce other foods.
