What should you eat while having a yeast infection?

If you have a yeast infection, there are several food items you should avoid. Cutting out bread and potatoes from your diet is one of the most important things you can do because once consumed, these foods are broken down to sugars in your body. Yeast infections feed off sugars in your body, so the less you consume, the better!

Yeast thrive off sugars - avoid sugars in the form of sweets but also avoid alcohol and high-carb foods, also foods that are high carb and contain yeast such as bread should be avoided too. Eat pro-biotic foods such as yoghurt containing live cultures and homemade sauerkraut (or/and take pro-biotic tablets). It also helps to take vitamin C tablets to change the pH of your urine, this flows over your vulva and the more acidic pH helps to control the yeast infection.

Eat yogurt with natural bacteria (acidopholous, lactobactilus, bifidus...)

Take suplemental acidopholous tablets.

Eat large quantities of Lemons and very citrus fruits, along with Italian bread. It worked for me and I was pregnant at the time xD and snickers tend to help with the citrus-ness.
