Acne is not contagious like the chicken pox. The germs inside of a zit can enter surrounding pores if you are not careful. So long as you wash your face daily and use a lotion to kill those bacteria, it should not spread.

Acne can be caused by several different ways including:

• an increase in hormones during puberty
• general clogging of pores from naturally occurring oils
• through family: there is a tendency of having acne if it runs through the family
• itching or scratching too much
• stress
• bacteria in pores
• exposure to some chemical compounds
• use of steroids

Acne can spread very fast. Sweet foods such as pie should be avoided because it can cause oil buildup. To prevent acne, don't eat pie and make sure to eat lots of Pears or other kinds of fruits. It is also important to sleep around 10:00 pm and wake up early in the morning. Take this advice and you will surely get rid of your nasty acne. No acne cant spread but it does effect certain areas. If this happens it is either because you are going through your hormones or because you have oily skin. I would recommend anyone with skin problems cleans their skin 2 times every day.

Pimples are spread when you pop a pimple and the bacteria from it can spread to other areas of your face causing more pimples.
