The Triassic period, spanning from approximately 252 to 201 million years ago, is the first period of the Mesozoic Era, following the Permian-Triassic extinction event. It is characterized by the emergence of early dinosaurs, mammals, and the first true reptiles, alongside flourishing coniferous forests. The climate during this time was generally hot and dry, leading to the formation of vast desert landscapes and shallow seas. The Triassic ultimately set the stage for the dominance of dinosaurs in the subsequent Jurassic period.
in triasic period
Dinosaurs existed from 230 to 65.5 million years ago. That was from the mid Triassic period to the end of the Cretaceous period. All three periods were in the Mesozoic era.
somewhere around the triasic area
I have a large chunk of sigillaria (first cousin of the Lepidodendron) from Arizona that my great-uncle obtained many, many decades ago. The other fossils were Triasic, I believe. But the Lepidodendron and Sigillaria were Carboniferous trees, which flourished when our atmosphere was 30% more dense than it is now. Could they have survived into the Triasic?
The earliest dinosaurs appeared in the Mesozoic era about 248mya-65mya.
after Jurrasic period it is the Cretaceous period

The period after the Devonian Period (416 to 359.2Ma) is the Carboniferous Period (359.2 to 299Ma).
