Same thing happened for so many years. One day quitting, another day smoking. Two days quitting, smoking more sticks in following two days. Then after 50 years of smoking, I have not smoked for 5 years now. But I don't know whether I have totally quit smoking. I may smoke any time again.

It works for people who are strong willed and also beneficial as the withdrawal symptoms are only there for about a week and the nicotine is out of the system in a month. The success rate of this method is about 1/3 rd.
In the old days people would cut the skin off a turkey and freeze it and when they had a carving or were trying to break an addiction it is like saying I'm quitting now.
