You need to inventory your diet. See what might be causing it. If you are truly worried, go to the Dr. and see what might be the problem (if there is a problem). In cold weather training, troops are taught that dark urine is a sign of dehydration. Certain vitamin supplements such as B Vitamins and Iron can cause this as well as certain medications your doctor may have prescribed for you. Of course certain foods also can cause this and certainly if you aren't drinking 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water per day which flushes out the fats and toxins in your body.

∙ 12y agoInadequate fluid intake and disease can both cause dark urine. If it's dark like cola, contact your health care provider. If not, drink 32 ounces of water and see if your urine gets lighter. If not, contact your health care provider.
