Smallpox was at its worst during the 20th century, particularly in the early 1960s, when it caused an estimated 15 million cases annually worldwide. The disease had a significant impact, leading to high mortality rates and severe complications in those infected. It was not until the World Health Organization launched an aggressive global vaccination campaign in 1967 that smallpox was effectively controlled, culminating in its eradication in 1980.

This is kind of opinionated. Early symptoms of Smallpox are Vomiting, Aches, High Fever, and Tiredness, while later symptoms are rashes and white legions. If I had to pick, I would say the white legions on the body are the worst symptom, as they can cover 80 percent of the body.
the year was in 1796.
Smallpox was eradicated by 1980 due to the World Health Organization (WHO) campaign, so none.
In the 1960's
Edward Jenner developed vaccine against smallpox in 1798. He used cowpox virus containing fluid for the same.
I know just one of them - it's Smallpox. It was the most feared and greatest killer of that time.
In 1796, he injected an 8 year old boy with cowpox, a less lethal form of the small pox. This created an immunization to smallpox and was coined the first vaccination.
The Detroit Lions had the worst NFL record this year.
Edward Jenner did not discover germs, he developed vaccination for smallpox (using cowpox pustules) which was much safer than the inoculation for smallpox (using smallpox pustules) then in use. However he had no idea what actually caused smallpox, only that it was something invisible in the pus from the pustules.
