They just use a dental pick to pluck them out. Then they let you brush your teeth and they put the bands on your molars. Doesn't hurt at all. :]

It is generally not recommended to eat sticky foods like syrup with spacers on, as they can easily get caught in the spacers and lead to difficulty in cleaning and maintaining the orthodontic treatment. It's best to avoid eating syrup or any other sticky foods until the spacers are removed.

DO NOT WORRY AT ALL!! spacers only stay on for 3-4 days, then come the braces. for some people spacers stay on for 1 week, depending on your dental situation...i recommend some pain relievers because the day after your spacers, it will hurt like hell!! it can also last up to 2 weeks..but that is only if your teeth are extremely crammed together.....GOOD LUCK! And once again its USUALLY ONLY A FEW DAYS!!

Yes, you can use a water pick (water flosser) with spacers in place. It's effective for cleaning around dental braces and spacers, as the pulsating water can help remove food particles and plaque from hard-to-reach areas. However, it's important to use the device gently to avoid damaging the spacers or surrounding gum tissue. Always consult your orthodontist for personalized advice on maintaining oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment.
They feel like they will fall out because of the spacing there doing. It is very normal to feel like that but they will not fall out if you follow your advisers instructions.
