You can't brush your teeth until the stitches dissolve. You need to ask a dentist for this info.
Then you probably didn't need stitches.
I have just recently done a tooth exposure for one of my canine teeth. The pain has gone down ..but im still worried on how to brush my teeth. If I brush my teeth with the stitches become loose and then there could be loosening of the stitching in my upper mouth ? How am I suppose to brush ? Do I avoid all contact with that area? Do I avoid tooth paste and rinse with a salt and water solution ? Thnks
DON'T BRUSH YOUR TEETH THE FIRST DAY!!! I know it will be kind of gross, but you can't brush your teeth the first day because you may loosen the stitches. And if the stitches come out, then you will have a disgusting, bloody mess and would have to go back to the dentist to get the stitches re-sewn. That would not be fun! :(24 hours after surgery you can start brushing your teeth. Brush VERY GENTLY and go VERY SLOWLY when brushing near the wounds.*I would recommend using toothpaste with baking soda as soon as you can start brushing because in a few days after surgery, you will start getting a disgusting taste in your mouth which is basically your wound oozing out bacteria. (I know it sounds gross... it is. But it's true!) The baking soda will help give you a sweeter, fresher taste in your mouth, and will hopefully stop the oozing within 1 or 2 days instead of a week!Hope this information helped! Good luck with your surgery. :D
Depending the area where you are having your teeth pulled people may only see a space but the actual "hole" where the tooth was pulled from heals over and is just like a regular gum area. Depending on WHERE they are pulled, no. The holes will close and your teeth will move up to fill those holes. If it is teeth in the back, they will eventually close. Usually they stitch the hols with dissolvable stitches.
If you brush your teeth regularly, it shouldn't be a problem. Stains maybe.

It's good to brush your teeth because there is bacteria in your mouth that if left alone will multiple and cause damage to teeth and gums the mixture of chemicals in toothpaste help destroy them but not all that's why you should brush everyday to keep the bacteria low.... for more information call your local dentist
