I felt the same thing, Gina, and no one could really explain it. I think it has to do with the skin stretching as my stomach got bigger. Thankfully, by the middle of the second trimester I rarely felt that burning feeling. I have the same thing. My doctor says it's because the skin is streching. If you keep moisturized it should help because your skin will become more elastic
