I canot tell without a crystal ball, which I do not own. Normal geststion is 40 weeks, you really don't want to have your baby early even though everyone is very tired of being pregnant by this stage of pregnancy. The last four weeks of your pregnancy may be the longest month of your life! Be patient and don't do anyhting to try to "induce" labor, nature has it all figured out and usually the baby will come when it is supposed to. Generally between 38 and 42 weeks.
You shouldn't be having sex when you are dilated and or after 9 months pregnant. It could be dangerous to the unborn child. As for your question, It probably could bring on labor.
you can be dilated for months before you actually go into labor.
The baby probably isn't ready yet. Where I went to the hospital if you were 5cm dialated they would keep you and induce labor. you can be zero dilated and be in labor. As soon as your muscles start contracting you are in labor and have pains.
They say having sex helps , a lot of walking helps. you can talk to your Dr. he/she can set up a date to induce.
Actually you are in the Latent phase of labor.
"2 cm into labor at 40 weeks" means that a pregnant woman is 40 weeks along in her pregnancy and her cervix has dilated to 2 centimeters as she begins the labor process. This dilation indicates that her body is starting to prepare for childbirth, but she is not yet fully dilated (which is 10 cm) for delivery. Being 40 weeks pregnant typically signifies that she is at or near her due date.
yes. labor to me felt just like period cramps. i did not even recognize it was labor, got to the hospital 30 minutes before my daughter was born. no time for the epidural so i would not recommend waiting until the last minute to go to the hospital.
i have been 1 cm for 3 weeks now! I dont think that how dilated you are really matters unless you are in active labor!
It means you will probably go into labor soon. I've heard of women being dilated 3cm and not going into labor for weeks. As a reference, you must be dilated to 10cm before the doctors or midwifes will allow you to push.
It's possible that the menstrual-like cramps you're feeling could be early signs of labor, especially if you are already 4cm dilated. Keep monitoring the intensity and frequency of the contractions and contact your healthcare provider for further guidance. It's always better to be cautious and seek medical advice in these situations.
Yes, they will give you a large dose of magnesium which works as a muscle relaxer to stop your labor, then they will give you a smaller continuous dose to prevent you from going back into labor. I was 30 weeks pregnant, 3cm dilated and 80% effaced and they were very successful in stopping my labor.
definatly!! sounds like baby is getting ready! good luck x
