The number of perm rods needed for a spiral perm can vary depending on the length and thickness of the hair. On average, between 20 to 30 perm rods may be used to create spiral curls throughout the hair. It's best to consult with a professional stylist to determine the exact number needed for your specific hair type and desired look.
Directional Wind - This perm is done by placing the perm rods in the direction of where the client will wear their hair. This is to create a perm with a parting and to make it easier to wear for the client.
Same way as a female, with a perm. A body wave is the same thing as a perm, it is just done on bigger rods.
You can wet the hair first before rolling it into perm rods or you can simply squirt each section about to be rolled with a water bottle in order to dampen it. The hair definitely needs to be dampened to effectively roll it onto the rods.
If you put them on Ebay, they're worth exactly what the highest bid is.
For kinky twists, the best rollers to use are typically flexi-rods or perm rods. Flexi-rods provide a soft, flexible option that creates defined curls without causing any damage, while perm rods can help achieve tighter, more structured curls. It's important to choose a size that matches your desired curl pattern, with smaller rods for tighter curls and larger ones for looser waves. Additionally, using a setting lotion or curl cream can enhance the hold and definition of the twists.
I recently got a perm for the first time. The length it makes you're hair all depends on the size of the rod. If you got really small rods the tighter the curl the shorter the hair! hope that helps (:
AnswerThe perm chemicals will ruin velcro rollers. There are special perm rods that can handle being bathed in the chemicals, and that's what you want to use.Answeryes you can use anything to perm the hair but the hair couldn't be wrapped smoothly with velcro rollers so it might look frizzy plus the tension won't be even and certain hairs that are wrapped too tight might end up breaking
Wrap the perm rods, starting at the bottom of the center row in the back and work your way forward. The hair you are not wrapping should be clipped up out of the way. Of course, this is the opposite way we wrap a regular perm. We do this because spiral perm rods are long and hang down. They will be in your way the entire time if you do as you would with a regular perm. Using perm papers on the ends of the hair, start wrapping about one inch from the plug end of the rod, winding slowly towards the other end of the rod. The hair doesn't have to reach the other end of the rod; that depends on how long your hair is. After you've wrapped all your hair, apply perm solution, following manufacturers instructions. If hair is very long, two kits will be needed. You will need a larger plastic bag than is supplied in the kit; a small trash bag or grocery bag will do. After neutralizing is finished, remove the rods by disconnecting rod ends very carefully. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT PULL THE HAIR WHILE REMOVING PERM RODS.

Go to your hair dresser and ask for a permanent wave. If you want looser curls or waves, a body wave perm is good. They're all pretty much the same, but the amount of curl depends on the size of the rods used. Bigger rods produce bigger, looser curls and smaller rods produce tighter curls.
