Could we get a little more clarification about what you want to know here? Do you mean how does one contract hepatitis? Or do you want to know how it began years ago? Also, are you wanting information on all of the Hepatitis viruses or just one in particular (such as hep A, B, C, etc.)? How did it began years ago

Unfortunately, I did not find the exact origination for Hepatitis C... But I do know that it occurs most frequently in Egypt. Out of their entire population, 18% is infected. That's 11,622,010 cases in Egypt. India, on the other hand, has more cases, but only 2% of it's population. There were 18,747,774 cases of Hepatitis C in India as of May, 2006. -Starfish
