You can go to the discussion tab and post a messsage on the discussion board. When someone else opens the question, there will be a note there saying that there are comments associated with that question and to see the discussion board.

One may contribute to a discussion board by reading others views and opinions and then supporting or arguing against any arguments/issues raised. There would be an option for comments which you may be able to preview before submitting on a discussion board. You should be able to delete the comment if you wish to do so.
