Please can someone answer this question. I am taking Metoprolol (4 years now) and my hair is thinning and there is always a lot of hair in my shower drain. I am scared. I have an aneurysm so I will be on this medication for the rest of my life so I cannot quit....but if there is something else out there that does the same thing for me, but, doesn't cause my hair to fall out, I NEED TO KNOW WHAT IT IS. THis is maddening. Christine in Florida
No, side effects of calcium channel blockers do not contain hair loss.
Absolutely.
Yes, beta blockers can cause short-term memory loss in some individuals, although this side effect is relatively rare. These medications, commonly used to treat conditions like hypertension and anxiety, may affect cognitive functions due to their action on the central nervous system. If someone experiences memory issues while taking beta blockers, it's important to consult a healthcare provider for evaluation and potential alternatives.

Yes it cause hair loss.
The short answer is YES. It happened to my mother, and it grew back after she stopped it. Also, its HAPPENING TO ME. Most doctors don't recognize that Lisinopril CAN cause Thinning hair or Hair Loss; until the do the research. It's a very rare side effect, and (I'm guessing here) probably not recognized as the medication causing it sometimes. However, it is listed by many experts as a side effect by medical professionals in medical articles. The hair will grow back when the medication is stopped. I may take a while though, like a month or two. Right now I'm the guy walking around with no eyebrows, and shave only once every two weeks. Hope to back to normal in a couple of months.
