The pulmonary arteries carry the blood from the heart to the lungs (deoxygenated), and the pulmonary veins carry the blood back from the lungs to the heart (oxygenated). So the answer to your question is yes and no....a majority of the veins in the body do carry deoxygenated blood.....unless you are talking about the veins from the lungs, which carry oxygenated blood. The term is deoxygenated meaning oxygen taken out. Unoxygenated would suggest there was never any oxygen in it to start with.
