The spinal cord is directly attached to the spinal nerves, which emerge from the spinal cord and extend to various parts of the body. These nerves serve as crucial pathways for transmitting sensory information from the body to the brain and motor commands from the brain to the muscles. Additionally, the spinal cord itself is encased in the vertebral column and protected by cerebrospinal fluid, playing a vital role in reflex actions and coordination of movement.

There are scientists and doctors working to understand the spinal cord and find a cure for paralysis. There are physical therapists helping survivors of spinal cord injuries. There are Chiropractors who help to maintain spine health. There are numerous jobs in spinal cord injury rehabilitation hospitals.
The muscular system.
It contains your central nervous system and it travels signals from the brain.
To keep you standing up straight and to protect your spinal cord.
The dorsal cavity of the body contains the brain and spinal cord, which are considered the Central Nervous System. The same neurons that make up the brain also make up the spinal cord. The only difference is that the neurons in the brain :like a pony tail of hair" only differentiate as a result of their job; as a transmitter or a receptor,
The spinal cord is basically the "information highway of the body", back and forth between the brain and the rest of the body. This information includes touch, temperature, pain, and signals telling muscles to move.
Cerebrospinal fluid is found in the ventricles of the brain (which are inside the cerebral cortexes and the cerebellum) as well as flowing around the meninges of the brain and spinal cord (on the outside of both structures).
Essentially the same as that in any other vertebrate - including us. It is the central column of the skeleton, and the conduit for the nerve-bundle that is the spinal cord.
controls musclesRelay messages from the Brain in the CNS down through the Spinal Cord and into the PNS, from there the motor neuron synapses on muscle fibers. i.e. knee jerk reflex & the neuromuscular junction.
The spinal cords job is to send messages from parts of the body to the brain and vice versa. Did you know that if your spine is out of alignment the messages may not get through properly and can actually cause symptoms in your body that don't relate to your orignial issues. Some people don't believe in alternative medicine but having your spine aligned by a ligitimate Chiropractor can put your body at it's optimum health and allow it to heal itself...rather then popping pills that just cover your symptoms up, you may consider a trip to your local Chiropractor. I only speak from experience...
