That's an old stereotype thing. People there tend to have good teeth these days. Its always been mistaken in the past that because teeth were not white or perfectly straight that they were not clean. but infact its perfectly natural for teeth to not be perfectly white and have a slight tinge. The British used to be happy with just Brushing there teeth and not so worried about having them perfectly white or straight.
Today British teeth are good with each younger generation looking for that Hollywood smile and its a practice being past on each generation. people under 35 there tend to have real good teeth these days with "some" older people tending to opt for cosmetic dentistry to get that perfect smile.
Its also been another missconception that when Americans compare British teeth they compare "average british public" against " American Hollywood actors" ofcourse there will be a difference there. but in reality if you compare "average british teeth" to "average American teeth" there realy isn't "that much" of a difference only in people over 35 or so.
