WikiAnswers. Septemver/16/2008. About: Babies without teeth. Question: Why are babies born without teeth? Website: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_are_babies_born_without_teeth&action=edit. - http://www.wikianswers.com/Q or A. ---- Introduction: That's a good question to ask although it's rarely asked. I'm guessing babies aren't born without teeth because they aren't fully maturely grown, and they just came out of their mothers stomache. It isn't ready yet to be left, that's why you have to take care of babies a LOT. Babies have lots of missing parts in their body that still is growing, like; fully skull, knee caps, and teeth. Steps: # Drinking Bottle: Babies take time for them to start taking the steps of drinking in a bottle alone. # First couple of steps: Babies have a hard time to accomplish this challenge that we are waiting for. It takes them at least two months or more to start walking fluently. # Words out of their mouth speaking: It takes time to let babies try to get to know some simple words like "Papa" or "Mama" they have to listen to others to try to copy what they are saying. From time to time they will get used to what your saying and they start saying it too. # Fully Grown Baby: It takes them at least a year to be fully grown and left to her/his own responsibility. # Maturity: It takes them months to be well developed and acting maturely enough. Experiment: If you would like to experiment a baby in one of your homes try it! It's really fun observing one another and how they walk how they try to talk (baby talk), how they play...etc. Hint: WARNING: Don't give your child a small piece of toy it may choke them! Think about these stuff, re-read them each time you want to try to observe a child. Conclusion: While your trying to observe a child try to think about the scientific method. Think about what we wrote, re-read them. Brainstorm it each time. Thank You! =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) =) Picture of the Day: :).

No, babies are not born with teeth.
Babies can be born with teeth.
"Probably teeth" ^ this is wrong. Babies start to get their teeth before they even turn 1 year old, and its not that they are born with out their teeth. Their teeth are in their gums but haven't yet pushed their way out. I believe this person is referring to the fact that some people think that babies are born without knee caps and don't get them until around that age. This is wrong as well. Babies are born with knee caps, however they haven't ossified yet. A baby's kneecaps start off as cartilage and eventually ossify, becoming bone.
It is an uncommon thing to happen, but 1 in 100,000 babies are born with a tooth.
