Why are girls hairy?

The real question should be why do girls shave off the hair on their legs, and other areas? Answer : to be accepted socially. It is generally accepted that humans are descended from primates (monkeys, apes, etc). Primates are hairy - we as humans still retain some aspects of our primate ancestors therefore we are hairy. Different cultures find different things attractive and in general western cultures like women to be hairless (apart from on the head). Other cultures probably find women's body hair quite attractive.

Armpits and vagina's are hairy for the same reason as the boys. We have sweatglands there and the hair is there to keep it airy. No hair means skin against skin which would make it warmer and make it easier to get infections. Arm and leghair is a remnant from the stone age etc. It's also hereditary.

Like males, all females have hair on their toes (though the hair has no known propose) and everywhere else on their bodies. Some girls have darker body hairs from genetics, making it more visible (thicker and darker) than others' toes making it appear more "hairy". Also some girls wax or shave their toe hair, so they have no toe hair, making girls who do not shave/wax their toe hair stick out more.

It's genetics. people get hair in random places from their genes. Don't try to shave it, as it will only grow back thicker. If it really bothers you I'd use nair or wax it.
