digesting food is a big job, and 2 or 3 organs cant preform this task by themselves. you need a organ to absorb alcohol, to hold the food, to regulate the blood sugar, and to get rid of the food when the nutrients are extracted. there is a lot to do, so the body needs many organs.
IM LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER TOO! SO ANYBODY WHO KNOWS ABOUT THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM, PLEASE...HELP!! Thanks..
The circulatory system is connected to the digestive system. The circulatory system is important to the digestive system so that digestion can take place and so that nutrients can be released into the bloodstream.
The digestive system consists of the tongue, esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, gall bladder, appendix, and rectum.
crap tunnel... no I'm just joking, its actually called the digestive system. You see there are so many different organs from mouth to anus that there is not one single name for it, but a system (group of organs working together for the same purpose).
digestive system. this includes the stomach and small and large intestines
Yes. The stomach of a starfish is located in the central disc. The stomach actually shoots out from the mouth and it secretes digestive juices that liquidize the prey and then a tube sucks up the liquid.
The liver and the pancreas are not called digestive organs because neither of them actually partake in digesting food. The liver actually stores glucose and turns it into energy when its needed and the pancreas creates insolin to control our sugar levels. So neither of them digest anything but they are called digestive because as I've just said they do partake in keeping our digestive system working properly from G.G
The Digestive System is a system because your food needs to be processed and that is how it is. the digestive system is a system because alot of differant organs are working together to the same job like the mouth, esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, small intestine, large intestine and the anus
I am not 100 % sure of this but I believe the digestive system goes from your mouth all the way to your colon so everything in between is a part of the digestive system.
Each bone is an organ and there are 206 bones in the body so 206 organs in the skeletal system.
the liver is part of many systems, it mostly deals with digestion but produces so many enzymes and chemicals it is involved in almost every system
It helps it by protecting all your internal organs.
