Missing your period can be caused by many things. One easy one to either accept or rule out is that of pregnancy. If you know you aren't pregnant, many other factors can cause a girl to skip her period for a month or two. Some common ones are stress, weight gain, or sudden weight loss. Genetics can also sometimes play a role, but your periods can also be irregular within the first fews years or so of getting it. Certain medications can also change cycles of some girls, too.
