Loss of consciousness of this sort is described as a syncope. A potential cause of this dizziness or black out is due to fluctuations in blood pressure. You have stated that these blackouts occur after standing up, this is indicative of postural or orthostatic hypotension (a drop in blood pressure due to sudden movement). Commonly this occurs when sitting up from a lying position, or standing quickly.

This can happen to otherwise healthy people, however it is strongly recommended that you visit a doctor as there are also a number of potential underlying causes which would need to be investigated.
