very true, Sikh boys are not circumcised because Sikhs believe in living life the way God made them. No changes, that's why they don't cut their hair and wear turbans, God gave them hair and it was a blessing so the men use the turbans to just keep it under control. God had made men with an uncut penis and they believe who are we to change what he created so they leave as uncut

Circumcision was originally done for religious and cultural reasons. there was no benefit to the man that was circumcised. However British medics in the Victorian era decided that circumsicion was a good way to stop boys from wanting to masturbate, which they said led to any number of diseases from syphilis to insanity. as a result it became established for non religious reasons in English speaking country's and is still carried out in those country's to some extent but to a lesser degree. the USA is the last one to hold out with this practice probably because the market is loath to let go of a profitable money spinner for unethical medical practitioners.

They dont have to be circumcised there is no reason asociated with health or hygene why the removal of the foreskin should be considered. The main reason for circumsision is as a blood sacrifice to god in religions, it is also used as a right of pasage into manhood. Non religious circumcision was begun in britain and then on into other british speaking cultures under the false premice that it would stop boys from masturbating which was held responsible for over a hundred diferent diseases. when it became obvious that this was nonsense hygene was pushed as the reason however there is no hygene advantage in circumcision.

It is considered preferable to be circumcised when still an infant instead of waiting until puberty. Would be easier on the child. The rite of circumcision is considered cleansing at the time and in the future because makes cleaning easier.
