Why do people cry when they are happy?

People cry for many reasons,it all depends on the situation. People cry maybe because they passed the 12 grade,they graduated from university college,they had a baby,they are celebrating their birthday, people cry because of a touching speech someone said,you can cry if your singing a heart warming song or listening to one. it all depends,it can be from a stress day,a happy day or a congratulations day. whatever the case may be,you can cry if you met a idol you really like or you bumped into a celebrity. people cry when they are happy mainly because they are proud of themselves or somebody else. it's called joy and laughter.

According to scientists, there are three different "types" of tears that cause humans to cry: basal, reflex, and emotional. Basal tears are what keep your eye from drying out, like when you're outside on a really windy day. Reflex tears keep the eye clean after it's been irritated, such as when you're cutting onions. And emotional tears happen when you find yourself extremely sad, happy, angry…or even just after you trip and skin your knee.

Not everybody does. It depends on what type of person you are. If you are the type that dont like showing people emotions then you are not going to shout or cry no matter how bad it hurts

EXTRA: You are so right, but things people like that do when other ppl are in the room anywhere is either play with something the have in there hand or talk to someone. but once ppl leave the person might burst into tears from the pain. trying to hide sobbing is very hard though. maybe that's why some ppl cover they're face up when they're crying to muffle the sobs. lolz
