Why do people drink alcohol when being angry?

They get angry because the alcohol affects their better judgment. I guess it's kind of the same thing as being high(You don't know what you're doing!)

And that is of course of a certain group of peoples opinion, their belief system. For alot of people alchohol does not impair their judgment and it doesent stop people from knowing what they are doing. Alchohol can increase violence however, if two different belief systems are engaged with each other during the intoxication of it, exactly the same if there was no alchohol present.

There are a great many reasons that people repress anger. When they drink, their judgment and ability to censor their behavior is one of the first things to go, and repressed anger is one of the first things to come out.

Under those conditions, and especially with increasing drunkenness, we are likely to do all sorts of stupid things, including allow our aggressive tendencies to get the best of us.
