my hands fall asleep at night if i have them positioned above my head
AnswerThe most common thing that can cause your hands to fall asleep at night is probably just sleeping on them wrong (ie.. wrist is bent in awkward position while you sleep)If it keeps occurring though, especially with morning symptoms of numbness and tingling, and you have risk factors of repetitive hand use,Diabetes, obesity,Arthritis etc... you may have carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS).A condition caused from pressure or damage to the median nerve that runs through your wrist joint.
Existing CTS can be aggravated by sleeping with wrists in a bent position, then when you wake up,you shake them to "get them awake."
Most people assume (incorrectly) they have a blood circulation problem, when in fact it's a crimped nerve problem.Sleeping in night or nocturnal braces often help.

As strange as it might seem try stopping drinking coffee or tea and its not the Caffine so I include DeCaffinated as well. Once I stopped so did the problem.
While you sleep, your hand does not move. This slows down the flow of blood, which eventually will make your hand sleep.
Hope this helps! :)
Probably because you've fallen asleep in a position that pinches/squeezes a nerve in your arm or back.
when you fall asleep you sometimes lay on your hand which makes it lose blood and then you get the tingly feeling which means its asleep
umm the only thing i can think of is if you sleep on your arm without knowing. It may fall asleep.
No they fall asleep.
Yes. Not only can dwarf hamsters sleep in your hands, other hamsters can, too. I have had a hamster, Butterscotch, and she slept in my hands, If you are very calm and quiet, sure! They'll sleep in your hands. Unless they aren't sleepy of course:)
