The pitch of your voice is indeed dependant on the length of your vocal cords but nothing to do with height, you can get a 5' male with a voice as low as a baritone-bass or you can have a 6'8 male with a voice of a tenor, it's pretty much just the length of thickness of your vocal cords, if they're long and thick, you'll have a low voice, if they're small and thin then your voice will be high, long and thin, I'm presuming a thinner low voice? same for the other way around.

But what happens when your voice breaks? Well I actually can't remember my voice breaking, it just gradually got lower and lower until it was very deep, I had started to sing and my voice then gradually became higher, I am a tenor with a range from F2 to D5 (modal) and A5 (falsetto). So, really, your question was not answered that well, but you gained information that the depth of your voice will depend on the thickness of your vocal cords.

The vocal chords stretch as your grow. The longer it is the deeper your voice. That is why at about age 13-14 sometimes boys can talk high then low in the same sentences because it is in between.
