Why does it feel like your chest hurts or like it's caving in when you feel depressed?

Sometimes when people have depression, one of the symptoms is sometimes abnormal pains that occur for an unknown reason.. before i started taking prosac for my depression i used to always get stomach pains. But now im on anti-depressants they have calmed down a bit.

That is, of course, one of the signs of depression. Some report it as a physical pain, feeling as though they might be having a heart attack while at the same time they just wish it would go ahead and kill them. Of course, that is just the severe depression taking over their life.

Once you get to that point, you should seek professional help.

Many report this degree of depression following the death of a loved one and often there can be some benefit to some of the more effective anti-depressants.

It's considered a panic or anxiety attack. But you should go to the doctor and tell them your having them. There is medicine out there that helps for that.
