Because certain types of insturmentation that the surgen uses have a dampening affect and are supposed to move a little bit. I just came from my nerosurgen today

because my back started squeaking. X-Rays showed everything was in place and that I had about an 8th of an inch of flex in the top section of the ten rods and screws that he installed. The top one was different than the others that had spacers installed also.

Told me not to worry about it. Everything looked great.

What does no osseous fusion mean after spinal fusion surgery of the back?

No osseous fusion after spinal fusion surgery means that the bones intended to fuse together have not successfully merged. This can lead to ongoing pain, instability, and potentially the need for additional surgical intervention. Factors contributing to non-fusion may include inadequate bone healing, infection, or biomechanical stresses. It is crucial for patients to follow post-operative care instructions to enhance the likelihood of successful fusion.
