Why don't women have adams apples?

All humans, male and female alike, have an Adams Apple. It is the result of the vocal cords stretching outwards during puberty to deepen the voice.

When the larynx grows larger during puberty, it sticks out at the front of the throat. Everyone's larynx grows during puberty, but a girl's larynx doesn't grow as much as a boy's does.

The Adam's apple functions to extend the vocal cords thus allowing the vocal cords to make deeper sounds. Women have lighter voices, and don't need a large Adam's apple. But they DO have one.
