Multiple births from IVF can pose significant health risks for both the mother and the babies. Higher-order multiples often lead to complications such as preterm delivery, low birth weight, and increased chances of developmental issues. Additionally, the added strain on the mother's body can lead to serious health concerns, including gestational Diabetes and hypertension. Overall, managing multiple pregnancies can complicate prenatal care and increase healthcare costs.
For IVF: It lets couples that have found difficulty in conceiving a child have a child that is their own biologically. It lets a woman that has found difficultly in conceiving a child to experience pregnancy and form a bond with her child. Against IVF: It can result in multiple pregnancies, which can leave parents in a desperate financial situation or worse, multiple miscarriage/stillbirth.
It is not uncommon to have twins and even triplets with IVF. IUI (artificial insemmination) has higher chances of multiple births simply because you can't control how many eggs fertilize. With IVF the dr can control how many embroys he transferrs.
Unless it's through IVF it's a new world record on natural multiple births but this is very unlikely. Follow the doctors advice and good luck and congrats.
This occurs more likely when in vitro fertilization occurs (IVF). The term means fertilization is preformed in vitro (glass),in a glass dish or glass test tube. More than one egg is used and all are implanted into the uterus. Sometimes all develop and sometimes only one. Also the drugs used make the ovaries produce many eggs.
because some people might not trust ivf
The question is too ambiguous. Is it about a randomly selected person having twins in 1952 as opposed to another year? The incidence of multiple births has increased over the years as a result of IVF. Does the person (parent) have to be living now so as to be selected? Is it about an individual having twins in 1952 as opposed to other people who gave birth in 1952? For that you need data on twin and other births in 1952 for the whole world. I very much doubt if such statistics are available - certainly not reliable ones.
Nadya Suleman, also known as "Octomom," reportedly spent around $100,000 on her in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. She underwent multiple IVF cycles before successfully conceiving octuplets in 2009. The high cost of IVF includes medications, procedures, and consultations, which can add up significantly.
The time it takes for an IVF center in India to get results of a HIV and Hepatitis test will depend on the lab. The center should call you to come in for the results.
Multiple birth!!!!! with each insertion of an embryo it is possible all survive and grow to full term births. Having multiple birth can be hard on the mother to carry full term. However, it is not a guarantee that any of the embryos survive. You have to weigh your options and consider carefully what you are prepared to do. Doing multiple rounds of IVF is costly and the emotional roller coaster the mother is on can be a challenge to say the least. Therefore, doing multiple rounds is not practical. However, understand that if you insert 4-5 embryos you may get one to survive, all five or some combination in between. I speak from experience, my wife and I used IVF and inserted two embryos. Both survived and we now have two healthy, happy baby girls. However, carrying both to 38 weeks (according to our doctor 37 weeks is full term for multiple births) was hard on my wife and she was on restricted duty for much of the pregnancy. This included taking stairs and standing for long periods of time. Just know that if you are not sure you can handle 5 babies, factor that into your decision along with the advice from doctors, friends, and/or family members. These will be the people you rely on regardless of your decision and/or the outcome.
Yes, the Sextuplets were conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF). This assisted reproductive technology involves fertilizing an egg outside the body and then implanting it into the uterus. The process can lead to multiple pregnancies, as was the case with the Sextuplets, who were born to a couple after undergoing IVF.
This stands for in vitro fertilization. In IVF, the egg and sperm are combined outside of the uterus and then reimplanted into the uterus. The term "IVF pregnancy" refers to pregnancies that result from IVF.
Twins can sometimes be predicted based on factors such as family history, maternal age, and certain fertility treatments. For instance, women over 30 are more likely to conceive fraternal twins, and those undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) often have higher chances of multiple births. However, predicting the exact occurrence of twins in any given pregnancy remains uncertain and cannot be guaranteed.
