Materialism can be considered the worst illness because it often leads to a relentless pursuit of possessions and wealth, overshadowing the importance of relationships, experiences, and personal fulfillment. This fixation can foster feelings of emptiness, dissatisfaction, and anxiety, as individuals continually seek external validation rather than cultivating inner happiness. Ultimately, materialism can erode values like compassion and community, leading to a disconnection from what truly enriches the human experience.
head aches were the worst illness.......
Materialism is the worst illness. It only seems best. It sustains the ego, sins, and all the (ills) lies id causes. Materialism defends material interests, only. That's much deeper than love for money. Christians lie the most. It ignores the unseen and stresses physical, only. Humility (self-criticism) is the best (repentance) therapy. Moral sense is truer than five senses (opinion). Moral discipline is realer than carnal desire. Good sense is better than humor. The world's tragedy (illness) is served at mind's feast. Materialism sustains nihilism. Please do not talk (post bs) before (quietly considering) understanding. peace and respect.
It’s difficult to label any mental illness as the "worst," as each condition can vary greatly in severity and impact on an individual's life. However, disorders like severe depression, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder can be particularly debilitating, leading to profound distress, impaired functioning, and challenges in maintaining relationships. The stigma surrounding mental illness can exacerbate these conditions, making recovery more difficult. Ultimately, the experience of mental illness is highly individual, and the "worst" may differ from person to person.
Of or pertaining to materialism or materialists; of the nature of materialism.
It's not a law. Materialism and atheism don't necessarily have anything to do with each other; theistic materialism exists, and the materialism part is still the same (it's incidental that there is or isn't a god involved). See "What is Materialism?" to better understand that part.
Denial of materialism
The book Materialism was written by Jorie Graham.
Hylephobia is the name of the phobia related to the fear of materialism
Christianity looks down on materialism as an obstacle to spirituality.
Materialism is the self-indulgent pursuit of acquiring possessions to the exclusion of helping others in need.
Materialism in the relative sense is understood by Buddhists. Attachment and aversion to materialism is likely to lead to suffering as with any other composite phenomena.
Most of the time, the most popular illness is headaches because it hurts so bad you would have to stay home. The worst part is when you vomit or throw up!!
