The circulatory system transports all the things the body needs to survive through out the entire body. It also picks up the "trash" the body wants to get rid of and takes it to the liver and kidneys to be excreated. If you look at an anatomy picture of all the blood vessels in the body, it will resemble a huge road map.

A couple would include carrying oxygen to organs throughout the body as well as cleaning the bloodstream of waste and toxins that make their way there by the blood that passes through those organs, a filter for the body to make simple.
