It's because your mind is tired. The trick is NOT to try and stop yourself from thinking but get on with your day DESPITE this happening. This begins because you have some fearful insoluable problem which you cannot find a solution to and eventaully leads to deep depression and nervous breakdown if you are not careful. Read a book called "Self help for your Nerves" by Dr Claire Weekes and end the misery of this in a few short weeks. Be free
