Or maybe it's a California Prop 65 warning, or something similar.

In California, Proposition 65 requires that warning labels be placed on... well, pretty much everything, if somebody somewhere ever thought they might just possibly cause cancer or "reproductive harm". It's a well-meant idea gone horribly wrong, as the net effect is that Californians are so used to seeing these on everything (seriously: they're at literally every gas station and restaurant) that we pretty much have been trained to just ignore them ("yeah yeah yeah, cancer, whatever").
