Hydrogen peroxide is a very drying solution, and can impede, or interfere with the natural healing process. You should only use Hydrogen Peroxide on a wound if directed by a medical physician.
Take frequent showers, drink lots and lots of water, exercise, wash your face twice a day, avoid touching your face and picking at acne, sleep. You can use some benzoyl peroxide, but that causes a rash for some people. And when you are drying your face, don't rub, pat it dry. Fancy creams sometimes work. Hope this helps!
SD alcohol-40 usually refers to isopropyl alcohol, which is present in many acne-control products as a vehicle or base. Its drying effects are thought to reduce the oilyness contributing to acne. Actually, acne is more related to hormone production and less to oil or foods (think chocolate) , so the alcohol may act to disinfect the skin. Used repeatedly, its cumulative drying effect may actually leave the skin more susceptible to bacterial invasion. Products like this (as Stridex) are generally considered outdated, in preference of benzoyl peroxide products which act like hydrogen peroxide to kill bacteria on the skin.

Percent solids can be measured by dividing the weight of the solid material by the total weight of the sample and then multiplied by 100. This can be done using a drying oven to remove moisture from the sample and then calculating the weight difference before and after drying to determine the percent solids.
Barium peroxide can be obtained by reacting barium oxide with hydrogen peroxide. The reaction typically occurs in an aqueous solution and the barium peroxide can be isolated through filtration and drying processes. It is important to handle barium compounds with proper safety precautions due to their toxic nature.
No, using Colgate on acne spots will not necessarily improve your skin. Toothpaste will have a drying effect though, and could cause further irritation, peeling, and redness. To more effectively treat acne, use a formula specifically for skin, such as benzoyl peroxide.
No, sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate is not a sulfate. It is a type of surfactant commonly used in personal care products, such as shampoos, to help clean and remove oil and dirt from the skin and hair.
Rubbing salt on your skin does not actually toughen it. In fact, it can be irritating and drying to the skin, potentially causing damage. It is important to be gentle with your skin and use products that are specifically designed for skincare.
The nose warms and moisturizes the air you breath in. It could be that the cool dry air coming directly from the mouth is drying the throat and irritating it. Alternately, it could be that the reason for the mouth breathing is that the nasal passages are stuffy and mucus from them is dripping into the throat at night when you lie back (post nasal drip). This can be irritating.
Adolescence acne may be caused when changes in hormone levels stimulate sebum production within the body. Sebum is an oily substance that keeps the skin and hair from drying out. It comes from the sebaceous glands, which are found all over the body but are most numerous on the face and scalp. Acne cannot be prevented by a controlled diet and is not a sign of uncleanliness, but good hygiene should be practiced to prevent more serious infections. Antibiotics, benzoyl peroxide, or vitamin A derivatives may be used on the advice of a doctor to treat severe acne.
