You need to see a doctor.
What you have is called secondary amenorrhea, meaning you used to have a menstrual period and now do not. This can be caused by many things, including Birth Control pill usage, losing a great deal of weight, excessive exercising, or fluctuations in hormones for some reason. I'd suggest talking to your physician about it as the above person mentioned. Hope this helps! Dr. B. answer I had this happen to me. I had no symptoms at all, just a little weight gain and no period for four months. It turned out I was four months pregnant after all. The first Doctor I saw told me I wasn't and was going to prescribe some pills for me to start my period. My husband and I moved and I went to another Doctor and sure enough my baby will be 20 this year! If you've been to a doctor and have no answer, you might want to get a second opinion.
Possibilities:
You are only just starting to go through puberty and your menstrual cycle is not quite in place yet.
You are pregnant. Try a pregnancy test or speak to a doctor.
You are breastfeeding very regularly. This can prevent ovulation, but isn't reliable enough to use as a form of contraception.
You are severely underweight or overweight. Check your BMI.
You are on a form of contraception that prevents part of your cycle, or have recently come off such a contraception.
You have gone past the menopause. In some cases, this can happen early.
You have a hormone imbalance of some sort.
Unless you are not in puberty, or taking a contraception that prevents periods, I would recommend speaking to a doctor about this.
Some Possible Problems: You could be preganant, very overweight, very underweight, have PCOS or approaching menopause cause your pregnant
Pregnancy?
BV won't cause period to stop for 5 months.
It means ur pregnant
I've been on yaz for 5 months and never miss a period
You should go see your doctor. Stress can cause you to miss a period, but three months is a little extreme.
5 months
Hi, This isn't worrisome no but if you miss your period completely then perform a pregnancy test or see your DR for a pregnancy blood test. If your period was 4-5 days late then several things can cause this, including missing pills or stress or even being ill can delay your period. Another cause is the doseage no longer being suitable for you. Please note this is advice only & should not be used in place of your DRs evaluation.
if ur on your period for 5 months that's probably not good. u could have an infection which causes the bleeding and u should see a doctor
No. The gestation period of a doe is only 5 months long, not 8 months.
Just haviing a strong cramping sensation, does not mean you are pregnant, you could miss this months period entirely and it could well come on time next months cycle.
Well i know i have two children now and with both i was still coming on my period so i didnt think i was pregant cause i having my period but everyone body is different so i know you can still have a period and still b pregant cause everytime i found out i was pregant i was 5 months
Unless the weight losscauses one to become very underweight, the weight loss will not cause the skipping of a period. Pregnancy will, though.
depeding on the brand of pregnancy tests, you can take them up to 5 days BEFORE you miss your period. You can take one as soon as you miss your period. However, the longer you wait after you miss, the more accurate the test will be.
