Why would your right earlobe be swollen?

My son had this problem and at first they thought it was the mumps. If you have any sort of sinus problems or have been sick with a cold, etc... then your glands in your throat are infected. I think they call it a salivary gland or a pituatary gland(probably misspelled). My son was in the hospital for 5 days. The pain was unbearable for him in his ear and throat. You must have dr care or it could cut off your air or swelling of the brain.

Earlobe swelling is only common when dealing with an infected piercing. If someone's lobe is swelling it is recommended they make a doctors appointment if it does not get better in a few hours.

Swelling behind the ear can also be due to an infection filling the middle ear or outer ear with puss. Like all issues involving the ear it should be checked out by a Doctor.
